The US embassy in Manila has canceled all immigrant and nonimmigrant visa interviews between April 7 and May 4 due to the Luzon-wide community quarantine.
“We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time,” said the US embassy in a statement on Tuesday.
The affected applicants should reschedule their visa interviews only after the enhanced community quarantine is lifted in Metro Manila.
These may be rescheduled through the Embassy call center by phone at (+632) 7792-8988 and (+632) 8548-8223, or through the online appointment system at ustraveldocs.com/ph.
The US Embassy said there is no fee to change an appointment since visa application fees are valid for one year in the country where the fee was paid.
President Duterte earlier extended the ECQ up to April 30 upon the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID).
